The University of Development Studies (UDS), Ghana, has emerged champions of All African University Games (FASU) after winning male football final.
UDS defeated Unilag Marines 3-0 in the thrilling “Jellof Derby” final to claim the gold medal at the Unilag Sports Complex.
The first 45 minutes of the game ended in favour of UDS after Al-Hassan put two goals through the Unilag goalkeeper.
However, Unilag team stepped up their game after the half time break but couldn’t break the deadlock
In the second half of the game, UDS put another one through to secure a 3-0 win.
Thus, Federal University of Oye-Ekiti clinched the bronze after defeating the Lagos State University (LASU) in the third place match at the LASU sport complex.
Oni Kehinde’s lone goal in the 38 minutes earned FUOYE the third place.
