Omoregie lamented what he described as the current abysmal enrolment figures from the university and appealed for more opportunities for more beneficiaries .

Recall that during his inauguration, Prof Omoregie while commending the federal government’s initiative which he said he alongside some other scholars had advocated before its establishment, promised to encourage the students to key into the scheme.

The Executive Director, Operations of NELFUND, Mr Mustapha Iyal, who in the company of other officials, received the vice chancellor, congratulated him for his well deserved appointment.

Iyal identified inadequate sensitisation and doubts about authenticity of the fund as primary reasons for the low enrolment but expressed readiness of the scheme to include as many students of the university as possible only if they apply and meet the guidelines.
