University of Lagos’ Faculty of Engineering Alumni Association (UNILAGFEAA) donated a block of 12 lecturers’ offices at a colourful event on July 28, 2023, at the faculty premises where many dignitaries, mostly engineers from all walks of life, were present.
In his welcome address, the chairman of the association, Engr. Dideolu Falobi, expressed great delight to be back at his alma mater, leading the alumni association in a “give-back to our academic community” gesture.
According to him, “As alumni, we hold significant responsibility in contributing to the growth and development of our alma mater. Today’s event is a testament to the collective efforts of the alumni association, the faculty, and the university administration in creating an environment that is conducive to learning, innovation, and research.”
The dean of Engineering, Prof. O.M. Sadiq who was full of joy, showered encomium on the donors and expressed gratitude on behalf of the Faculty of Engineering and the university at large, assurances of the faculties commitment to put the facilities to great use.
In his words, the chairman of UNILAGFEAA, Engr. Dideolu Falobi, is a man of uncommon courage, who has never turned us back empty-handed. In the same vein, Geoplex Drillteq Ltd, the company of Engr. Kolawole Ogunsanya, has been conducting interviews and recruiting our graduates for the past five years. All these are gestures that bring joy to our hearts as faculty.
In response, the individual donor of the day, Engr. Kolawole Ogunsanya, MD/CEO of Geoplex Drillteq Ltd, commended Prof Sadiq, and the university management for their excellent leadership which created the enabling environment that made it possible to give back to the university community.
