Declaring the training opening ceremony in Sokoto, the USAID State2State Activity MEL coordinator, Olalekan Stephen Medaiyese, said the training was organised in collaboration with Sokoto State Primary Healthcare Development Agency to equip the beneficiaries with skills to effectively use the human resources health management information system data entry platform.

“With proper training, HRH desk officers will be able to utilise the system to generate accurate and timely reports. These reports are essential for making strategic decisions concerning health workforce planning and management.

“This will also further strengthen the state’s human HRH management information systems, towards improving health system governance structure, thereby enhancing decision making process, increasing accountability and transparency, saving costs, optimising the workforce, and enabling quality working conditions for health workers.

“It will also build the capacity and enhance their efficiency and effectiveness as well as empower them to not only use the system, but also train others, ensuring a continuous pool of knowledgeable users,” he noted.
