Olubadan was accompanied to the service by his children and other royal family members.

The service featured hymns, prayers, thanksgiving, and a particular hymn in honour of the new monarch.

The monarch’s son, Prince Folasekemi Olakulehin, thanked God for making the day a reality.

He described his father’s long journey to the throne as worthwhile, adding that the royal family will continue to be grateful to God for the privilege to serve the people.

Former governor of Oyo State and Otun Olubadan of Ibadaland, High Chief Rashidi Ladoja, Ibadan obas and mogajis as well as prominent Ibadan indigenes graced the occasion.

It would be recalled that Oba Olakulehin was officially presented with the instrument and staff of office on July 12, 2024, by the state governor, Seyi Makinde, in an epoch-making occasion held at the Mapo Hall open ground.
