Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, who is also the Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), will lead the inauguration of the organisation’s Diaspora Youth Directorate Coordinators in Toronto, Canada, as part of efforts to strengthen support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda among Nigerians abroad.

The inauguration, scheduled for August 10 at the Ontario Investment and Trade Center in Toronto, is being coordinated by the Directorate of Youth of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors and will also mark the official launch of the RHA Diaspora Arise Platform.

According to a statement issued by the Director of Youth of the RHA, Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi, the initiative is aimed at mobilising young Nigerians in the diaspora to contribute to national development, youth leadership, civic engagement and economic transformation.

The statement said the inauguration reflects the growing global support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the commitment of Nigerians living abroad to Nigeria’s development as well as support for the President’s re-election bid in 2027.

It noted that the diaspora youth platform is designed to serve as a strategic vehicle for engaging young Nigerians across the world, describing them as critical stakeholders in the country’s quest for sustainable development and global competitiveness.

“The mobilisation of diaspora youths aligns with the President’s commitment to harnessing the nation’s human capital for sustainable development and national progress,” the statement said.

It added that Nigerians abroad have continued to distinguish themselves in business, technology, medicine, academia, public service and other fields, making their participation essential to the country’s development aspirations.

The RHA said the inauguration also demonstrates its expanding global reach and commitment to building a network of Nigerians dedicated to promoting good governance, youth empowerment, national unity and economic growth.

According to the statement, the newly inaugurated coordinators will receive personalised recruitment codes, QR-enabled registration links, digital mobilisation toolkits and performance-monitoring dashboards to support their activities.

Each coordinator is expected to recruit at least 50 verified members within the first 30 days of assuming office as part of measurable performance targets set by the organisation.

The Youth Directorate reaffirmed its commitment to excellence, integrity and inclusive leadership, saying it would continue to deepen youth participation in national affairs in line with President Tinubu’s vision of building a stronger, more prosperous and globally respected Nigeria.

The organisation also thanked Nigerian youths at home and in the diaspora for their continued support for the Tinubu administration and urged them to remain united and committed to advancing the objectives of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
