Special adviser to the Imo State Governor on Sustainable Development Goals and Humanitarian Services Hon. Princess Christina Eligwe-Ude, has stressed the need for inclusive development, saying it improves the quality of life.
She stated this when the All Progressive Congress Youth Stakeholders Forum presented her an award for contributions to the emergence of President Bola Tinubu in Abuja.
The forum presented the youth champion award (women in leadership) to Eligwe-Ude for what they described as her tremendous efforts towards Tinubu’s emergence as president, saying it has earned her widespread recognition and praise across the nation.
Making the presentation at the event, chairman of the forum, Hon. Abdulazeez Kaka said the award was in recognition of Eligwe-Ude’s commitment and sacrifices to the APC and the success of Tinubu at the polls, and enjoined people to emulate her.
He said “Princess Eligwe-Ude’s instrumental role in advancing the candidacy of Bola Tinubu for the Nigerian presidency was visibly seen by all during the campaign. Her dedication to the cause and strategic efforts have been seen as a significant boost to Tinubu’s political aspirations and we are here to honour that commitment”.
According to him, Eligwe-Ude as special adviser on sustainable development goals (SDGs) and humanitarian services to Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo state had preferred insightful interventions on improving lives.
Responding, Eligwe-Ude expressed gratitude to the APC youth stakeholders forum for the trust reposed in her capabilities and affirmed her commitment to furthering the SDGs and humanitarian services in the state.
She emphasized the importance of inclusive development which she said improves life and pledged her continued zeal to work tirelessly to improve the well-being of the people, and continuous alignment of her activities to the national vision of President Tinubu and Uzodimma’s government in Imo state.
Eligwe-Ude had before her appointment by the Imo State governor, served as Sustainable Development Goals Consultant to the National Assembly, Abuja and was a member of the Sustainable Development Directorate of the APC 2023 Presidential Campaign Council.
Ude, a graduate of University of Maryland Global Campus, USA, and technocrat had excelled in locally and internationally policy formulations and implementation.
