Vice chancellor of the university, Prof Onyemachi Ogbulu stated this during an interaction with the Students’ Union Government, students’ representative council executives, faculty and departments presidents, and hostel governors.

He said, “I would like to use this interactive meeting to assure you that your security, education, and well-being will remain the top priority of the management of the university.”

Advising them to be security conscious and mindful of their activities on social media, he urged them to take their studies seriously to cover their disrupted academic calendar due to the ASUU strike.

Ogbulu, who also called on the students to return to school immediately as full academic activities have resumed, reminded them of the university’s Governing Council’s “No fees no examination” resolution.
