Vietnamese ambassador to Nigeria, Bui Hung, has solicited business partnership with the Abia State government on agriculture, textiles and garments, manufacturing, and electronics among others.

Hung made the request at separate meetings with the Umuahia, and the Aba Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, in Umuahia, the state capital, and Aba respectively.

He engaged the chambers to identify areas of collaboration between them and his country, stressing the commitment of his county to fostering strong bilateral relationships with the state.

The diplomat, who said he hoped for fruitful dialogue from the meetings, noted that “We think that we can work together in order to increase productivity, quality, quantity, and the value chains.”

Hung also appreciated the willingness of the state governor, Alex Otti, to ensure a partnership between his country and the state government on many areas for economic development.

He encouraged members of various business communities in the state to seize the opportunity of the relationship to visit his country during business expos and exhibitions.

In a comment, the commissioner for Trade and Commerce, Kingsley Nwokocha said he expects a future fruitful business collaboration between  Vietnam and the state
