In Yobe State, the WAYSA chairperson who is an indigene of Borno State visited Alhaji Dr. Shehu Hashimi II ibn Umar Elkanemi, the Emir of Damaturu where she stated that, the traditional leaders are the custodians of the land, hence the need to visit and seek for their blessings and prayers towards the emergence of her husband as president in the 2023 election.

” I urge women, youths and supporters of the PDP to vote massively for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the forthcoming general election. I am here today to inform you that my husband Atiku Abubakar is contesting the presidential election in 2023, so we need your support for him to win the election.

” I am your daughter and your in-law is my husband. So, I am here to seek your support for his presidential ambition. I promise by the grace of God if my husband wins the election, things will be far different from the current situation we are facing today,” Atiku’s wife said.

She called on the people irrespective of religion, tribe, gender and political affiliation to vote for her husband in the forthcoming general election.

“This is our time to produce the next president from the zone, we have great people, we have businessmen, we have educated people and have every fundamental human right to support who we wish,” she said.

The emir who was gladden by her visit and efforts noted that, as she is a daughter of Borno and Yobe states, there is the need to fully support their daughter in realising her husband’s ambition, describing Atiku Abubakar as a man of honour.

She also visited the Emir of Biu in Southern Borno , Mai Umar Mustapha 11,  where she solicited for support, prayers and blessing from the royal father, stressing that the efforts being made to rescue and recover Nigeria cannot be achieved without the full support of the traditional rulers.

She expressed Atiku Abubakar’s readiness to rescue the country as well as his economic recovery plans aimed towards lifting Nigerians out of poverty.
