Nigeria’s U17 Boys, known as the Golden Eaglets, are intensifying their preparations for next month’s WAFU-B U17 Boys Tournament, with the technical team led by Coach Manu Garba working to assemble a squad that can bring pride to the nation.

On Wednesday, the five-time world champions showcased their prowess with a commanding 5-0 victory over Winsome FC in a friendly match held at the FIFA Goal Project, MKO Abiola National Stadium.

The Eaglets led by two goals at half-time and further displayed their attacking capabilities in the second half, adding three more goals to secure a 5-0 win. Winsome FC hails from Oporoza Island, located in Warri South West, Delta State.

This match marked the fourth friendly for the Eaglets as they continue to camp and prepare for the WAFU-B U17 Boys Tournament set to take place next month. In previous matches, they have secured 4-0, 1-0, and 3-2 victories against Espora Football Academy of Abuja, GASA of Ilorin, and Bandex Football Academy of Kebbi, respectively.
