The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, has said it will mobilise 50,000 people for the campaign rally of the party’s presidential candidate, Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu, which will hold on Wednesday, February 15, 2023.

Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the APC Presidential Campaign Council in the state, Chief Tony Okocha, disclosed this yesterday while speaking with newsmen shortly after inspecting the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Elekahia, Port Harcourt, venue of the party’s presidential campaign rally.

Recall that the stadium was approved for the APC Presidential Campaign Council by the Rivers State government at no cost.

Okocha said: “First of all, we will like to welcome you to Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port Harcourt. This is the approved venue of the presidential campaign of the APC, that is taking place on February 15, 2023.

“The people you see around me are members of the LOC and ICC. We have come here to inspect the facilities. One of the reasons why we came is also to assure and reassure our presidential candidate that Rivers State is upbeat.

“We are ready for him for February 15. You can see for yourself; it is no longer a camera thing.

thing you are seeing for yourself.

“So, we want to assure the presidential candidate, assure the PCC and assure the national party that we are upbeat.  We have taken the bull by the horns. As a people, we have taken it up that no attempt, nobody should attempt to sabotage what the APC will be doing in Rivers State.

“These young men and women have put resources together to put this place in order and to mobilize a minimum of 50,000 people in this particular venue on Wednesday, February 15, 2023.

“We have the privilege of attending campaigns in other states and we just don’t want to copy what they have done. We will do better and Rivers State will be mother of all APC campaign rallies.”
