We’ll Improve Ease Of Doing Business In Rivers – Gov Fubara

New Rivers State governor, Siminalaye Fubara, has said his administration will improve the ease of doing business in order to encourage the influx of investors into the State.

This is as he said his administration will partner with the private sector to revalitalise industries in the state with the aim of creating job opportunities for youths.

Fubara spoke on Monday shortly after he was sworn into office at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port Harcourt, by the Chief Judge of Rivers State, Hon. Justice Simon Amadi.

The new governor was sworn-in at exactly 11:58am while his deputy, Professor Ngozi Ordu, took her oath of office at 11:50am.

Dignitaries that attended the event included immediate-past Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike and his wife, Hon. Justice Suzette Nyesom-Wike, former Governor Peter Odili and his wife, Hon. Justice Mary Odili and the immediate-past Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom.

LEADERSHIP observed that Wike left the venue of the inauguration after handing over the Rivers State flag and official documents to Fubara.

In a brief speech, the immediate-past governor said: “Your Excellency, the governor of Rivers State, I hereby hand over the flag of Rivers State and official documents to you. Thank you and God bless.”
