South East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA) has said it is galvanising the South East’s support for President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027.

The national coordinator of the SERHA, Belusochukwu Enwere, stated this at the inauguration of the Abia State chapter of the SERHA and the empowerment of over 1,000 persons in Umuahia, the state capital.
The beneficiaries received tools, including sewing machines, hairdressing dryers, grinding machines, and motorcycles, as well as financial support ranging from ₦20,000 to ₦200,000.

“President Tinubu has proven his commitment to national progress through economic reforms, infrastructure development, and investments in education and healthcare,” he said.

The coordinator noted the need for the zone to join the campaign train for Tinubu and explained, “This agenda is a continuation of that vision, and we in the South East are fully onboard. We’re not just inaugurating the state chapter today. We’re also empowering our people with tools and resources to uplift their lives. This is about real impact.”

Earlier in an address, the state coordinator of the SERHA, Uche Hillary-Adibe, urged the people to join the drive, noting that “the movement symbolises a new chapter in the pursuit of unity and economic progress”.

Speaking further, Hillary-Adibe maintained that “This is not just a political event.

It is a declaration of hope and a rallying point for collaboration.”

“We believe in empowering men, women and the youth, investing in infrastructure, and promoting transparency and accountability across the board.”

He said the chapter will embark on grassroots activities, including town hall meetings, policy dialogues, capacity-building workshops, and partnerships with local nongovernmental organisations.

In respective responses, some beneficiaries, including Ojugo Ibeabhchi, Nelson Maduka, Augustina Echeme, and Nkasiobi Agu, expressed delight with the gesture.

They also assured of their cooperation, support, and commitment to spreading the message of the SERHA to every nook and cranny of the state’s 17 local government areas.
