Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has commended Alhaji Jibrin Maigari, the Federal Commissioner representing Yobe at the Federal Character Commission, for his outstanding contributions to the state and the nation, describing his service as a source of pride for both.

The Governor’s remarks were delivered at a grand reception held in honour of Maigari’s reappointment for a second five-year term by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Represented by the Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Alhaji Kaigama Umar, Buni said Maigari’s first tenure was marked by unprecedented performance and significant benefits to Yobe State.

“We are proud of Maigari’s service to Yobe and Nigeria. He has worked tirelessly to ensure fair representation and equitable access to federal appointments for our people,” Buni stated.

The Governor has further urged the federal commissioner to broaden his focus in the new term, calling attention to key sectors such as road infrastructure, healthcare, agriculture, and the socioeconomic development of the state.
