Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reiterated that supplementary elections in Adamawa, Kebbi, and other states will hold as scheduled on April 15.
LEADERSHIP reports that in Kebbi and Adamawa, the governorship elections were declared inconclusive and supplementary elections will hold in some polling units in both states.
However, the governorship and legislative elections have been concluded in most parts of the country.
In a chat with LEADERSHIP yesterday in Abuja the chief press secretary to the INEC chairman, Mr Rotimi Oyekanmi, stated that the election will be held as scheduled. He added that nothing has changed since then.
LEADERSHIP reports that INEC has decided that “all outstanding Governorship, National and State Assembly supplementary elections will take place on Saturday 15th April 2023.”
In Kebbi and Adamawa states, the March 18, 2023, governorship elections were declared inconclusive by INEC and supplementary elections will hold in some polling units in both states.
In Sokoto State, all the National Assembly seats in the state were declared inconclusive after the 25 February elections.
