Liverpool are always expected to challenge for trophies, even if it’s the manager’s first season in charge. While no one will demand that Arne Slot brings silverware to Anfield in his debut campaign, Liverpool will at least be expected to be in contention for glory. And of course, Slot’s stock with the club’s supporters will be enhanced immeasurably if he can add to Liverpool’s trophy cabinet. So, what success is realistic?
