The widow of the late singer Mohbad, Omowunmi Aloba, has opened up about the ongoing feud with her father-in-law, Mr. Joseph Aloba, alleging that the conflict is fueled by a desire for property rather than the truth.

Speaking in a recent interview with Channels, Wunmi claimed that the relationship between her and her father-in-law turned sour shortly after her husband’s tragic passing. She alleged that instead of grieving together, Mr. Aloba’s focus shifted immediately to the singer’s assets and royalties.

Regarding the controversial DNA request for her son, Liam, Wunmi made a heavy allegation, stating that her father-in-law is secretly hoping for a negative result to gain an advantage in the estate dispute.

“Baba Mohbad wants something I can’t give him. He wants the DNA of my child to be negative,” she stated.

Wunmi speaking on happier times, noted that she and Mr. Aloba were once best of friends. However, she claimed things changed following family disagreements over naming ceremonies and Mohbad’s reconciliation with his mother.

Despite the public back-and-forth, Wunmi insisted that she has never refused to take a DNA test. She maintained that she remains open to the process to prove her son’s paternity.

On his part, Mr. Joseph Aloba has previously raised his own suspicions, accusing Wunmi of having a hand in the singer’s death an allegation she has denied.
