Facts have emerged on why House of Representatives member-elect for Ethiope federal constituency, Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, resigned her appointment.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) member resigned her appointment as chairman of appropriation and finance committee of the Delta State House of Assembly (DSHA) where she is at present a member.
Even though her letter of resignation Monday night did not contain details leading to the resignation, available facts indicate that there is a frosty relationship between the party and the lawmaker.
She is alleged to have worked against the PDP in the just concluded governorship and house of assembly elections.
She and a number of other party members were reported to have played anti-party roles during the last governorship and house of assembly elections in the LGA.
Consequent upon that, a vote of no confidence was passed on them and the process for her suspension was suspected to be underway owing to the records that her activities led to the party performing poorly in the last governorship election in her constituency.
According to a reliable source, “She worked for All Progressives Congress (APC) during the governorship and state assembly elections. She deceived us, won her election and turned against us in subsequent elections. That was why PDP lost in her area.”
