The speaker, in a statement, stated this while appreciating the governor for awarding the construction of the road which was abandoned by the federal government.

In his personally signed statement, Zuru said he was aware of the governor’s concerns and desire to ensure the neglected road was put in good shape so that people of Zuru will enjoy the dividends of democracy.

The speaker added that the construction of the 87 kilometres from Koko junction to Dabai in Zuru local government will undoubtedly address decades- long challenges in transportation, trade and communication as well as boost agricultural productivity and other economic transactions in the area and Kebbi State.

The lawmaker noted that the road, when completed, will connect Zuru Emirate and other communities, foster economic activities and improve access to essential services among societies.
