Wike stated this while speaking earlier during the inauguration of the road that had President Tinubu in attendance.

“Just like what you did last time, there are a lot of Nigerians who have one way or the other have made their own contributions, particularly in writing, literary works.

“So many of them have made Nigeria proud, people like Chinua Achebe and J. P. Clark. Your Excellency, I want to appeal to you that this road be named Chinua Achebe and then another road within this same district be named J. P. Clark.

“This is my appeal to you, because they have also have contributed just like our noble laureate did. I also want to beg you to speak to our people, the residents of Abuja. I know they are watching you and they are happy every day,” he said.

Meanwhile, President Tinubu has noted that the present time is very challenging for Nigeria as his administration is retuning and rejigging the nation’s financial system to bring prosperity and relief to Nigerians.

Tinubu stated this during the commissioning of Engineering Infrastructure at Guzape District Lot II, Road M18 in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

He also commended the FCT Minister for providing exceptional leadership at a trying time for Nigeria, noting that he has demonstrated the capacity to build a team, to lead a team and to deliver on promises.

“This significant achievement is yet another milestone in our administration’s total commitment to enhancing our infrastructure and living standard within the FCT and across our great country.

“I am told when we started, that Guzape District with a size of 1,070 hectares is one of the newest districts’ phase one, created outside the original Abuja. The provision of comprehensive engineering infrastructure in Guzape District is not a mere necessity, it is a hope renewed.

“If we gather to celebrate and commission the realisation of hope, the successful completion of engineering infrastructure in Guzape District One, seems to be a testament of what we can achieve through diligent planning, collaboration and shared commitment to excellence,” he said.

Tinubu further advised the district head and residents of Guzape, that litigation is not the answer. “Conversation is the answer. Development that is focused on the people for the economic prosperity and benefit of a whole, is what should reside in us.

“Talk to our people whenever you need us, talk to our representatives, bring us together to help build Nigeria. It is not a personal thing. I stand here as a president, I do not have a plot here, but I have the people’s support and the mandate to deliver good quality of life and living environment.

“That should be enough for all of us to share to in the joy of commitment, dedication, perseverance and little give that God has endowed us with,” he said.
