National president of the Progressive Organisation for Peace and Transformational Compliance (PROPATRAC), Princess Carol Ngozi, has commended the minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike, for remaining focused on delivering modern infrastructure to residents despite tough choices that have come with criticisms.
She described Wike as the best FCT minister in the history of Abuja who has not only brought a new outlook to infrastructure in the city centre but also made massive investments in ensuring that satellite towns get a new lease of life both in social amenities and security.
Princess Ngozi who is also the managing director of Kingdavid Project Limited spoke at an interaction with journalists where she thanked President Tinubu for the choice of Wike as the FCT minister.
She said Wike had remained undeterred in lending support to the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu, especially in ensuring that the second anniversary of the government in May is marked with life-changing structures that cut across roads, bridges, water projects, street lights and many more.
She said, “One must understand the very difficult choices before the minister in ensuring that Abuja becomes a modern city that will favourably compete with other capital cities across Africa.
“Changing the status quo and doing things differently has come with a temporary discomfort with FCT residents, but I think the bigger picture should be on the gains that come with such temporary discomfort.
“There is hardly any part of Abuja where one project or the other is not going on. The popular phrase on the lips of everyone is, “Wike is working” and indeed he truly does,” she said.
She urged the residents of Abuja to reciprocate to the gesture by protecting the infrastructure from theft and damage.
