Women in Leadership Advancement Network (WILAN), a leading women’s show, has advocated women’s leadership in governance and economic spheres for the nation’s growth and development.
Abosede George-Ogan, founder and executive director of WILAN Global, stated this during an interactive session with journalists: The show promises to deliver another season of insightful discussions, inspiring stories, and actionable strategies for empowering women.
“Building on the success of previous seasons, Season 3, themed ‘The Policy Series, will explore various topics ranging from demystifying policies, the intricacies of policymaking, and the importance of gender-inclusive policies like women and economic empowerment policies. Viewers can expect to hear from policymakers, diverse leaders, and influential voices who are actively driving change in Nigeria’s policy-making landscape,” she pointed out.
She added that the women’s show is more than just a talk show, saying it is a bold attempt to deconstruct social norms that have hindered women.
“We are committed to reshaping the perception of women leaders, challenging stereotypes, and inspiring the next generation of female change-makers. We are grateful for the support of our partners, the National Endowment for Democracy(NED), among others.
“Their commitment to advancing women’s leadership and fostering democratic values has been instrumental in making the show a reality. Their funding allows us to amplify the voices of women leaders, drive meaningful conversations, and inspire lasting change.”
