Speaking at the courtesy visit to the CIG Motors edifice in Lagos, WIMBIZ new ED, Omowunmi Akingbohoungbe, remarked that the partnership represented what the WIMBIZ woman looks like in showcasing her full potential, contributing to nation-building, humanity, and creating employment opportunities with a platform for other women to thrive.

She stated, “Our goal is to constantly advocate for women, create a platform that can help alleviate their status and business across the business, corporate organization, and public service, and get us to grow the inclusiveness of women to an acceptable and balanced percentage where we have partners and supporters across the nation to achieve this.”

Former ED, Hansatu Adegbite, who recently handed over the baton of leadership after seven years in that capacity to Omowunmi Akingbohungbe, noted that WIMBIZ sees partnership and collaboration as a significant part of its growth, hence the growth and progress seen in the CIG brand and Diana Chen Foundation showed they possessed the standard to partner with it, as a woman is at their helm of affairs.

In her remark, CEO CIG Motors, Chief Diana Chen, disclosed that WIMBIZ is one of the organisations that has an outstanding leadership and management programme that help to propel women’s inclusiveness.

She remarked that the auto firm has women in diverse sections of its operation, as this aligns with the WIMBIZ vision and mission of having women at the management level of organisations.

She stated, “The CIG group and Chief Diana Chen Foundation is providing a one-year and half training opportunity for 20 Yabatech male and female students in automation and other fields with the availability of job placement for the participants on arrival back to the country.”

The move is seen as part of their civic responsibility to make an impact on society and national development by boosting the Nigerian economy.

Commenting on the oartnership, WIMBIZ BoT chairman, Bisi Adeyemi, expressed that the future was bright, as it is a female-led auto firm and Foundation that is in sync with what WIMBIZ is trying to build in inspiring women to be their best.

“There are a lot of female entrepreneurs in WINBIZ and we have different ways of empowering them, so we believe this partnership will allow us to do that in terms of training.

“And Chief Chen herself is what I will call a mentor that people can look up to, so imagine she can be a role model to our female entrepreneur,” she stated.
