Workers Hail Appointment Of Abdulsalam As MD/CEO Of Ajaokuta Steel Coy

The leadership of the worker’s unions operating in Ajaokuta Steel Company Limited has commended President Ahmed Bola Tinubu over the appointment of Professor Nasir Naeem Abdulsalam as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, (MD/CEO of the company.

This was contained in a congratulatory message, jointly signed by Comrade Ibrahim Audu Abdulraman, Chairman Iron and Steel Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, (ISSSAN), Comrade Saliu Idowu Adinoyi, Chairman Nigeria Union of Mines Workers (NUMW) and Comrade Usman Bashiru, Steel and Engineering Workers Union of Nigeria,(SEWUN) all of Ajaokuta Steel Company branch and made available to journalists in Lokoja.

According to the union leaders, the appointment showcases President Tinubu’s commitment to promoting regional representation and his readiness for revitalizing the steel industry, saying that the appointment is also a testament to the impressive resume, experience, and competence of the newly appointed MD/CEO.
