Workshop On Digital Capacity For Varsity Professionals Holds In Abuja

President of the Association of Nigerian Universities Professional Administrators (ANUPA), Dr Victor Mkuma Bem has said its workshop scheduled to hold May 10 and May 13, 2023 will equip participants with the ingredients required to take them to higher levels, especially in digitisation of university activities.

Bem who stated this in a statement said the training workshop is for senior university professional administrators and is billed to take place at the Public Service Institute of Nigeria (PSIN), Abuja.

According to him, the theme of the training workshop, “Re-Engineering Administrative Process in the Present University Environment,”  is expected to boost the administrative capacity of university professional administrators for excellent performance.

He stressed that apart from training and retraining of professional university administrators, the upcoming training workshop will be unique because it is aimed at equipping participants with the ingredients required to take them to higher levels especially in digitisation of university activities/administration and global best practices.

The president further assured that the training team of ANUPA has made necessary arrangements to ensure that participants attending the workshop maximally benefit in all the sessions of the conference in order to take home current techniques and skills required to boost their administrative capacities for improved performances in their universities.

Some of the resource persons billed for the event, according to him are; Prof Azeke Marshall, DVC (Academic), Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma, Edo State, who will be speaking on the topic “Digitisation and Digitalisation of University Administration in a post-COVID Era: The Role of Professional Administrators.”

Mr Sam Mwansat, a former national president of ANUPA will be speaking on: “Creating a Service Culture: The Role of University Professional Administrators as Customer Service Representative” while Dr. J.E.T. Babatola, registrar, Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo State will speak on “Reinventing the University Administrators’ Strategy Roles through Corporate Governance and Digital Skills in the New Normal.”

“Deploying Dynamism, Change and Innovations into Job Performance as University Professional Administrators” will be discussed by the registrar, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, Mallam Nurudeen Abubakar Bello, while Dr Victor Mkuma Bem, a director in the Registry Department of Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi will speak on “Collaborating for Excellence: The University Registry as a Catalyst for Change and Innovation.”
