England are through to last 16 of the ongoing 202 FIFA World Cup in Qatar after coming out 3-0 victors over Wales as they secured their spot at the top of Group B on Tuesday night.

This will see them face Senegal, who came out victorious against Ecuador earlier in the day, while the Netherlands face the USA in the other confirmed last 16 clash.

Gareth Southgate’s side scored twice in two minutes after a goalless first half as Marcus Rashford fired in a superb 50th-minute free-kick before Phil Foden slotted home from Harry Kane’s pass.

Rashford then added his second on 68th minute as Wales’ first World Cup appearance in 64 years ended at a group stage for the first time at a major tournament.

Meanwhile, Christian Pulisic scored in the 38th minute and the US men’s national team held on in a must-win match to defeat Iran 1-0 in Doha, Qatar, on Tuesday to advance to the round of 16.
