The event, which will come up at The Zone, Gbagada, Lagos, on December 7, 2024, with the theme: ‘Innovating For A Brighter Tomorrow,’ will bring together some of Africa’s creative and forward-thinking tech professionals, students, innovators, and investors.

According to the event organiser, it will feature insightful expert presentations, a panel discussion titled ‘Innovation Against the Odds: Transforming Challenges into Opportunities’, and the highly anticipated N1m Pitch Competition. This competition will give participants the platform to present their groundbreaking ideas at the event, with one exceptional winner securing the grant to materialise their vision.

Founder of Yabacon Africa, Jesse Essang, expressed, “This event celebrates Africa’s unparalleled innovative spirit and highlights our collective ability to drive progress through collaboration and bold ideas. “The N1m grant, while modest in today’s economy, is meant to be a meaningful catalyst for bright-minded individuals. It’s not just financial support; it’s a vote of confidence in their potential to create transformative change.

“Whether you are an established tech professional, an aspiring innovator, or simply intrigued by Africa’s flourishing tech landscape, Yabacon Meet 2024 offers something for everyone.”
