The convener of the Arewa Think Tank, Muhammad Alhaji Yakubu, has extended heartfelt condolences to the Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, over the passing of his cousin, Alhaji Bashir Yusha’u (Maiwada).
Yakubu, in his condolence message, expressed sympathy with the Governor and the bereaved family, urging them to find strength during this difficult period.
He prayed for Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, grant him Aljannah Firdaus, and comfort those he left behind.
“Your Excellency, this is indeed a great loss, not only to your family but to all who were touched by the life of late Alhaji Bashir Yusha’u. We share in your grief and stand with you in this moment of sorrow.
“Losing someone so close, a brother in all but name, leaves a void that words cannot fill. We pray that Almighty Allah grants you the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
“Alhaji Bashir Yusha’u lived a life of humility, compassion, and service. His legacy will continue to inspire all who knew him, and his memory will remain a blessing.
“In moments like this, we are reminded of the transient nature of life. May Allah forgive his shortcomings, widen his grave, and grant him eternal rest in Aljannah Firdaus.
Governor Sani is grieving the loss of his beloved cousin, whom he described as more than family, a brother and trusted confidant whose presence and support were invaluable throughout his life.
The governor on April 11, 2026, attended the funeral prayer held in Kaduna, where he joined relatives, friends, and well-wishers to pay their final respects to the late Bashir Yusha’u.
The solemn gathering reflected the deep sense of loss felt across both family and community circles.
In his tribute, Governor Sani praised the deceased for his kindness, humility, and unwavering dedication to family and society.
