Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal has been mobbed by fans after jetting into Brazil and taking a trip to NBA House.

Yamal is enjoying some holiday time after a successful season with Barcelona that brought La Liga, Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup trophies. The teenager has flown to Brazil where he visited the NBA House in Sao Paulo, during Game Five of the Finals between Oklahoma City Thunder and Indiana Pacers. Eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot that Yamal sported a bold No. 10 on the back of his top. Yamal has been tipped to take on the iconic shirt number at Barcelona next season and follow in Lionel Messi’s footsteps.

Yamal only managed to stay for 10 minutes before being whisked away while still eating his popcorn, as reported by ESPN.

The teenager is now hoping to meet his boyhood idol Neymar while in Brazil. The former Barcelona star is back in his homeland with Santos FC, although he has been sidelined recently after testing positive for Covid. Yamal has long made it clear that Neymar was his favourite player when he was growing up and that he saw the Brazilian, and not Messi, as his main idol.

Yamal was asked about changing squad numbers last month. He told Cope: “At the moment, Ansu has it. I wear number 19 and I really like it; it’s brought me luck. Is there more pressure to play with number 10? When I go to shoot at the goal, I’m not going to think about what number I’m wearing.”
