The outgoing Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Folashade Yemi Esan, has expressed strong confidence in her successor, Didi Walson-Jack, to lead the Nigerian civil service effectively.
During an introductory meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the State House in Abuja, Yemi Esan emphasised the importance of the civil service in fulfilling the President’s Renewed Hope promises for Nigerians.
She shared the president’s vision for the country, especially for the workforce, would prepare Walson-Jack to commence her duties efficiently.
Reflecting on the transition period, Yemi Esan highlighted her weeks of collaboration with Walson-Jack, describing her successor as a highly capable, professional, and empathetic leader.
“We had a productive meeting with Mr. President, sharing his vision for the civil service with the incoming Head of Service.
This will undoubtedly help her hit the ground running to achieve all that Mr. President has discussed with us,” Yemi Esan remarked.
In her response, Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack assured the President of her commitment to the mandate, promising to work diligently with the entire civil service to deliver on the Renewed Hope Agenda.
