The Yobe State government has launched the construction of six new office complexes to modernise the state’s administrative system and enhance the efficiency of public service delivery.
The new structures are designed to provide a more functional, organised and technology-ready working environment for key government institutions and ministries.
The commissioner for works, Engr Umaru Wakilin Duddaye, disclosed that the projects represent another critical phase in Buni’s administrative reforms which aim to reposition Yobe’s public sector for greater productivity, transparency and long-term development.
According to him, the move followed previous major upgrades executed by the current administration, including the renovation of the state secretariat, the Ministry of Women Affairs and several other government establishments to boost staff morale and strengthen institutional capacity across the state.
Duddaye said the new office complexes would not only reshape Damaturu’s administrative landscape but also reinforce the governor’s legacy as a leader committed to building modern institutions that can support sustainable governance and economic growth.
The affected ministries and agencies include the Ministry of Budget, Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Bureau of Public Procurement, Yobe Investment Company, Public-Private Partnership and Investment Promotion (PPP & IP) and Ministry of Wealth Creation, Employment and Empowerment.
