Yobe Begins Disbursement Of 1,500 Bags Of Rice To Teachers

Yobe State Governor Hon Mai Mala Buni has allocated 1,500 bags of rice to teachers nationwide as a Ramadan gift.

The Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Goje Mohammed, handed the food items to the Head of Service, Alhaji Tonga Betara, for onward distribution to junior civil servants.

According to him, Priority will be given to teachers under the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), the Teaching Service Board (TSB), and the Science and Technical Education Board (STEB).

At the handover ceremony, Alhaji Tonga Betara Bularafa expressed gratitude to Governor Mai Mala Buni for his continuous support of civil servants, particularly junior staff.

Tonga urged beneficiaries to reciprocate the gesture by demonstrating increased dedication and commitment to their duties.

He also commended the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) for ensuring equitable distribution of palliatives across the state.

The event‘s highlight was the symbolic presentation of the Ramadan food basket to representatives of TSB and SUBEB in the state.

Tango assured us that the distribution process would be transparent and fair to ensure the intended beneficiaries receive their share.

Also, some of the teachers in the state have expressed happiness and gratitude to the state governor, Mai Mala, for his efforts to assist them during this holy month of Ramadan.

They also appealed to the Head of Civil servants (HoS), Tango Betara Bularafa, to supervise the distribution of the food items judiciously without any tribalism or political affiliation.
