Yobe Cargo Airport To Begin Operation

The Yobe Cargo Airport, also known as Muhammadu Buhari International Cargo Airport, Damaturu, is set to begin operations as a delegation from the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) visited the state.

FAAN’s visit was to inspect the service level at the Cargo Airport and review preparations for the full take-off of the airport’s commercial, local and international operations.

The delegation was received by the commissioner for Transport and Energy, Mohammad Mohammad Bara alongside the permanent sectary, Dr. Mustapha Abba Geidam, and all the management of the ministry.

The commissioner disclosed that preparations had reached the advanced stage for an MoU with FAAN for the full operations of the Cargo Airport.

Permanent secretary, Dr. Mustapha Abba Gaidam appreciated the  FAAN team for the historic visit taking into cognisance the efforts of the administration of Mai Mala Buni towards making the airport operational.
