A governorship aspirant in Yobe State, Barr Kashim Musa Tumsah, has urged the people of the state to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to continue in office beyond 2027.
Tumsah, a development advocate, made the call at a stakeholders’ meeting with his supporters, cutting across all political parties, to discuss the way forward for the state after the two-term tenure of the current governor, Mai Mala Buni, in 2027.
According to him, “Yobe has come of age, and we need to come together and speak with one voice, such as in our support for continuity of President Tinubu’s administration, which has given Nigerians a voice and set the stage for enhanced dividends of democracy.”
Tumsah, who has dedicated his life to developing Yobe, with a particular focus on rural communities, over the past three decades, has positively impacted education, clean water supply, electricity provision, and empowerment.
His decision to accept the invitation to join the race for the state’s governorship seat followed unprecedented calls from across the state for him to venture into politics to continue with what Yobe people call “the promising, unmatched interventions.”
The lawyer cum politician has continued to silence seasoned politicians in Yobe as many leaders, elders, women and youths have overwhelmingly been pushing their support to get him to Government House, Damaturu in 2027.
