Yobe, Partners Develop 2025 Annual Operational Plan For Health Sector

The Yobe State Ministry of Health and Human Services in conjunction with the State Primary Healthcare Board (SPHCB) and other development partners such as United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Lafia Uk Project as well as Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) have developed a harmonized 2025 Annual Operation Plan (AOP) for the state’s health sector.

The commissioner of the Ministry Dr Muhammad Lawan Gana has while declaring closed a 5 Days workshop on the Harmonization of the plan, commended the partners as well as staff of the ministry and that of agencies under health for their support and contributions which led to the success of the process.

A statement from the Information Officer of the Yobe State Primary Healthcare Board Adamu Saidu said Gana, who emphasised on the importance of the AOP for the year 2025 described retreat as necessary taking into cognisance the paradigm shift in the entire health system in the country.

He said the Federal Ministry of Health has resolved to put everything including plan, budget among others under one umbrella for an effective results framework.

“I would like to particularly thank the Chairman of the Committee on Health, Hon. Kachalla Machina, the Special Advisor on Health to His Excellency, Hon. Gamcho Tela, the executive secretaries from various MDAs, and the NGO leads who honored us with their presence.

The executive secretary YSPHCB, Dr Babagana Kundi Machina has while speaking said the development of the harmonised AOP for the state health sector has clearly demonstrated the readiness of the state government towards ensuring result oriented measures.
