Three local government chairmen, youth leaders and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Yobe State yesterday reunited with party leaders ahead of the 2023 general elections.
The reunification was presided over by the PDP deputy national chairman (North) Ambassador Umar Iliya Damagum, who assured them of fair treatment and level playing ground, saying they would be given opportunity to pursue their aspirations.
Those at the meeting include the PDP chairman in Gujba, Hon. Kabiru Musa Apto; PDP chairman, Gulani, Hon. Wakil Maraya Bara; chairman Damaturu, Hon. Babagana Ali and PDP youth leader in Gujba, Hon. Babayo Yadi.
According to him, they have reconciled all the differences and critical issues between the members and leaders of the party across the three local governments.
He urged them to work together as one family and remain loyal to the party.
He added; “This meeting today also signifies that we are one as you know that the umbrella is big enough to accommodate everyone including the new members and aggrieved ones that have been reconciled with the party.”
He advised candidates to embark on house-to-house campaigns to tell the electorate that they could do it better in terms of providing good governance.
