As part of measures to further boost livestock production, the Yobe State government will award a contract for the establishment of three additional new livestock development centres in the state.

The state governor Hon Mai Mala Buni stated this while presenting the 2024 budget proposal to the state house of assembly in Damaturu.

The governor equally assured that his administration will procure more fertilizer among other agricultural inputs to support farmers for improved crop production.

“The sum of Eight-Hundred and Twenty-Eight Million, Thirty-Two

Thousand, Four Hundred and Twenty-nine Naira, Six Kobo (N828,032,429.06) was incurred for the completion of the Nasari Livestock Development Center (LDC) and commencement of work at the Badegana and Gurjiyaje LDCs, Nguru Stock Development Centre as well as the agricultural components of the Nigeria Covid-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (NG-CARES).
