The speaker of Lagos chapter of the organization, Hon (Amb) Adeola Aderibigbe, stated this during its plenary session held at Oshodi Isolo local government Secretariat, Lagos.

He commended President Bola Tinubu for listening to the yearning of civil societies and NYAN for separating the Ministry of Sports from that of Youth Development and appointing a youthful and passionate Minister cum medical doctor, Dr Jamila Bio Ibrahim as the helmsman believing that the 37-year old would hit the ground running.

Aderibigbe who represents Eti-Osa consistency in the youth assembly, said, “the National Youths Assembly of Nigeria commends President Bola Tinubu for separating the Ministry of Sports which has always taken the shine from Youth Affairs development.

“We want to task the new minister, Dr Jamila Bio Ibrahim to prioritize the challenges of youth and face them headlong, solving them one after the other strategically. The issue of out of school children is alarming, drugs abuse among youths is also a social malaise among many other issues,” he said.
