National youth leader of the Movement for National Reformation (MNR), Barr John Maton, has paid tribute to the group’s late chairman, Chief Cornelius Olatunji Adebayo.

In a statement issued in Abuja yesterday, Maton said that though he did not have the privilege of meeting the deceased in person, the depth of his contributions to Nigeria’s political and social landscape is a legacy that speaks across generations.

Maton said that Adebayo’s name evokes respect, integrity and a lifetime of selfless service to the Nigerians.

“Chief Adebayo’s unwavering commitment to truth and justice has left an indelible mark on our nation. He has consistently stood as a beacon of courage and wisdom, reminding us that leadership is not about position but about passion, sacrifice and conviction,” Maton said.

The MNR official added, “Adebayo’s life and work reflect a steadfast belief that Nigeria can only thrive when the interests of the people are put above personal or sectional gain, he said.“

I have heard, time and again, how he has tirelessly advocated for the restructuring of our country, a cause that resonates deeply with all who desire equity, justice, and lasting peace in Nigeria.“

“His vision for a restructured nation where every ethnic nationality has a fair place at the table remains as relevant today as it has ever been. This passion is not only inspiring but also serves as a guide for those of us who have taken up the baton of youth leadership within the MNR.

“As youth leader, I am both challenged and encouraged by the example Chief Adebayo has set. His commitment reminds me that our work must go beyond rhetoric; it must be rooted in action and in the courage to confront difficult truths,” he said.“
