Gubernatorial candidates of the various political parties billed to contest the 2023 elections in Bauchi have been asked to pull out their aspirations for a youth candidature of Senator Halliru Dauda Jika of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

Director of media and publicity of the NNPP candidate, Comrade Haruna Muhammed, said the 2023 polls should be for youthful candidates such as Senator Halliru Jika who are healthy and energetic to handle the rigors of leadership.

Muhammed, who was reacting to a rally organised by over 5,000 youths in support of Senator Jika’s gubernatorial ambition in Bauchi yesterday, said the 2023 polls will set the stage for the youths to take over the mantle of leadership of the country.

The director who urged the youths to canvass massive votes for the presidential and gubernatorial aspirations of Senators Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso and Jika respectively, explained that the time for the youths to salvage the country from insecurity, economic doldrums, and unemployment trend is now.
