The national speaker of NYAN, Hon Usman Bashir, said youths play significant roles in terms of access to education, politics and economic development of any country.

At the unveiling of NYAN project in support of the Implementation of the SDGs with the theme: “ Youths Support for the Implementation of SDGs” organised by the group in collaboration with the Brazil Embassy in Abuja, Bashir said, “We will be engaging in various activities designed to empower and educate our youths about their vital roles in the attainment of SDGs. We will be organising youth engagement sessions, workshops and seminars.

“Our main objective is to raise awareness about the importance of youths’ participation in achieving SDGs, elucidate on the specific roles of the youths in contributing to the implementation of these goals and foster collaboration between Nigerian youths and the Brazilian embassy in supporting the SDGs in the country,” he said.

On his part, the chairman of the House Committee on Federal Colleges, Hon Adamu Tanko Lokoja, called on Nigerian youths across the country to shy away from social media engagement and focus on their education and build a nation where peace and development holds sway.
