The police, however, called for residents’ cooperation with the Police operatives for better working relationship, noting that the police is deploying rigorous security measures to secure the FCT.

This came after the report of kidnappings and most recently, the kidnap of a woman and her two children in Kubwa on Sunday.

Reacting to the incident, the FCT police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh said: “In response to  concern of kidnapping incidents in the Federal Capital Territory, the FCT Police Command while declaring an unwavering commitment to fortifying security measures, have deployed rigorous strategies to prevent any attempts at kidnapping before, during, and after the yuletide seasons.

“While your safety remains our priority, we remain steadfast in our commitment to avert any potential threats and maintain the peace and security of the Federal Capital Territory.
