Undeterred, Zamalek rallied in the third set, securing a 25-20 victory to regain the lead.

The final set saw Zamalek maintain their composure and skill, ultimately concluding the match with a 25-22 win to seal their victory.

The match was a testament to the high-level of competition within African women’s volleyball, with both teams displaying remarkable talent and determination throughout the contest.

Zamalek’s victory not only showcased their strength within the sport but also solidified their position as a powerhouse in African volleyball.

In the third place match played earlier, Kenya Pipeline beat the CF Carthage of Tunisia 3-0 (28-26, 25-14, 25-18) to win bronze medal.

The victory marked Pipeline’s eighth bronze medal in the history of the competition and brought their overall medal count at the continental championship to 21.

Pipeline started the match on strong footing, edging out Carthage in a closely contested first set.

Smart serving and solid teamwork gave them the edge in the closing moments to take the set 28-26.

Buoyed by their opening set win, the Kenyan side came out with renewed confidence in the second set.

With sharp coordination and tactical adjustments, Pipeline outplayed their opponents in every department, cruising to a 25-14 win and a 2-0 lead.

The third set showcased Pipeline’s depth and experience. Excellent court coverage, strategic tips, and well-placed attacks kept them ahead.

As the team’s communication and synergy improved, they maintained momentum and closed out the match with a 25-18 win.

This bronze medal added to Pipeline’s legacy in African volleyball and consolidated their position as one of the most consistent clubs on the continent.
