In a press statement issued by the Republic of Zambia Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and made available to LEADERSHIP Sunday in Abuja, the minister said the development would strengthen the existing bilateral cooperation, as well as increase interactions between Zambia and Israel for the mutual benefit of both nations.

Haimbe recalled that Zambia and the State of Israel had enjoyed long standing bilateral relations since 1964 when they established diplomatic relations.
