Zamfara Govt Refunds N50,000 Each To 1,318 Pilgrims

Zamfara State government has refunded N50,000 to each of the 1, 318 pilgrims who performed this year’s pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.

Governor Bello Matawallle who gave the approval, directed the State Hajj Commission to ensure speedy compliance with the order.

He directed the commission to commence the payment latest by Monday, Sept 12, 2022 at each of the 14 local government areas of the state.

The affected pilgrims are therefore advised to go to the local government area where they paid their money to collect the N50,000 from Monday, Sept 12, 2022.

A statement from the office of the secretary to the state government (SSG) Alhaji Kabiru Balarabe said the gesture was part of the state government’s measures to ease economic hardship being faced in the country.
