Zamfara Govt Reinstates Abdu Gusau Polytechnic Rector

The Zamfara State Government has reinstated Dr. Surajo Abdullahi Shinkafi as Rector of Abdu Gusau Polytechnic, Talata Mafara, with immediate effect.

A statement issued on Wednesday by the Permanent Secretary, Cabinet Affairs, Dr. Abubakar Mohammed, on behalf of the Secretary to the State Government, said the reinstatement followed a careful review of the circumstances that led to Shinkafi’s suspension.

According to the statement, the Executive Governor of Zamfara State approved the reinstatement.

The statement directed the reinstated Rector to report to the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and resume duties as the substantive Rector of the institution.

The announcement was dated July 30, 2026.
