Zamfara Poised To Boost Maternal, Child Health – Gov Lawal

Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to enhancing primary healthcare services across the state, with particular focus on maternal and child health, in accordance with global best practices.

The governor gave the assurance during a meeting with members of the Ward Development Committee of the Women and Children Welfare Clinic (WCWC) Primary Healthcare Centre in Shinkafi.

He expressed satisfaction with the facilities installed under the awarded primary healthcare contract and emphasised the importance of functional, well-equipped primary healthcare centres in enhancing healthcare delivery at the grassroots.

Governor Lawal stated that his administration remains dedicated to enhancing maternal and child healthcare services in accordance with global best practices.

He reiterated that sustained investment in primary healthcare is a crucial part of his Rescue Agenda, focused on reducing maternal and child mortality and enhancing overall health outcomes across Zamfara State.
