The commissioner noted that a total sum of N20 billion was earmarked for the ministry to ensure environmental protection, sanitation as well as control of deforestation among others.

Muhammad further revealed that the state government planned to purchase 12,000 modern kitchen stoves to be distributed to vulnerable households.

“The project will also reduce carbon dioxide emissions, is aimed at attracting carbon credit for the state as well as reducing deforestation and environmental pollution,” he added.

According to him, the projects would have great impacts on the state as it will reduce various health challenges as a result of using fire wood.
