Zed-Faith Foundation International, led by its founder, who’s the chairman/CEO of SBI, Amb. Daniel Onyeka Newman, has donated food items and medical supplies worth millions of naira to children with special needs and elderly homes in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The donation which was sponsored by Straight Business Integrated Ltd as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project, which benefited the Old People’s Home Kado, Destined Children Orhanage and other care facilities, was part of the Foundation’s ongoing humanitarian efforts to support vulnerable groups amid the prevailing economic hardship in the country.
Amb. Newman, a UK-based Nigerian philanthropist, was ably represented by the Foundation’s Project Coordinator, Udodrim Okorie, and the Foundation’s Media Consultant, Amb. Victor Atewe
Speaking at the event, Udodrim, who also represented the Country Representative of the NGO, Chinnaya Dominic Chikwado, stated that the donation was personally sponsored by the Foundation’s chairman and not government-funded.
He added that the gesture was motivated by compassion and a commitment to improving the welfare of the less-privileged children and the elderly.
He also called on the Federal Government to partner with credible non-governmental organisations to help mitigate the effects of the current economic challenges on vulnerable citizens.
In their remarks, the Elderly Home Manager and Destined Children Orhanage commended Zed-Faith Foundation International for the timely support, noting that the donated items would be used to improve the wellbeing of the children and the elderly.
